Shapes & Lines
Privacy Policy
Last updated June 11, 2026
Who we are
Shapes & Lines ("Shapes & Lines," "we," "us," or "our") is a video production agency. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through shapeslines.com and our booking and client tools (together, the "Services"), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here.
If you have questions, contact us at hello@shapeslines.com or through our contact page.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Booking and project details — when you start a booking or send an inquiry, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and the details you share about your project, such as the type of shoot, preferred dates, location, budget or package, and any notes.
- Contact messages — the name, email, and message you submit through our contact form.
- Account information — if you have a client or team login, we collect your email and authentication details. If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information from Google.
- Payment information — deposits and payments are processed by our payment processor, Stripe. We receive confirmation and limited details about the transaction (such as the last four digits of your card and its status). We do not receive or store your full payment card number.
Information we collect automatically
- Usage and log data — pages you view, actions you take, and the date and time of your visits.
- Device and connection data — your IP address, browser type, operating system, and similar technical information.
- Cookies and similar technologies — see our Cookie Policy for details and your choices.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- respond to your inquiries and prepare quotes and proposals;
- schedule, coordinate, and deliver bookings and shoots — including sending confirmations and calendar invitations and communicating with you and your team about a project;
- process deposits and payments and send related receipts;
- create and manage client and team accounts and authenticate users;
- operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Services;
- prevent fraud and abuse and enforce our Terms; and
- comply with legal and tax obligations.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these situations:
- With service providers — companies that process information on our behalf to run the Services. These include Stripe (payments), our hosting and infrastructure provider, Google (sign-in, email, and calendar coordination), and our email delivery provider.
- With our team — the directors, crew, and collaborators assigned to your project, so we can plan and deliver it.
- For legal reasons — when we believe disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our agreements, or protect the rights, safety, and property of Shapes & Lines, our clients, or others.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
- With your consent — when you direct us to share it.
Third-party services and links
The Services rely on and may link to third parties, each governed by its own privacy policy — including Stripe for payments and Google for sign-in, email, and calendar coordination.
Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services and maintain our client relationship, and afterward only as needed to comply with our legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can ask us to delete information we are not required to keep (see "Your rights and choices").
Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
The Services are intended for businesses and adults and are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at hello@shapeslines.com.
Your rights and choices
- Access, update, or delete — contact us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you (subject to records we must keep).
- Marketing emails — if we send marketing emails, you can opt out using the unsubscribe link. We may still send messages about an active booking or your account.
- Cookies — you can control cookies through your browser; see the Cookie Policy.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — such as the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, or to opt out of certain processing — under laws like the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) or the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise any right, contact us at hello@shapeslines.com; we will not discriminate against you for doing so.
Do Not Track. Because there is no common industry standard for how to respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, we do not currently respond to them.
International users
We operate the Services from the United States. If you access them from elsewhere, you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes we will take additional steps to notify you where appropriate. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
